2025 Western Wyoming Deer Hunting Outfitter Review

The area of Wyoming we hunt is famous for and offers some of the best Trophy Mule Deer hunting in the world. This region of western Wyoming has all the ingredients for growing trophy class bucks: genetics, ample vegetation, high mountain basins, natural winter range and the necessary cover and hidey-holes that allow bucks to reach their maturity. Much of the area in which these trophy bucks live is also very remote and rugged. We encourage each hunter to prepare physically, increasing the opportunity of harvesting a trophy class deer. Each morning you and your guide will ride horseback well before daylight to the desired hunting area for that day. From here a good part of our hunting will be done on foot. We spend much of the day moving from various vantage points glassing the valleys and hillsides for that trophy buck of a lifetime. Spot and stalk is our most effective method for taking trophy bucks.

2025 Review & Gallery

After having an incredible 2024 deer season the 2025 season had its challenges. We felt and saw the effects of the deer and especially the fawns that were lost during the harsh winter of 2022/23. The fawns and young deer that were lost during that winter would have been at the age to be some of our target bucks, so missing this age class of deer made the hunting season a challenge to turn up a big deer.

On a positive note, we did see lots of little guys on the mountain that will be some great up-and-comer bucks for the future. We were still fortunate to get a couple of nice bucks on the ground last fall and chased a few others that got away. We are excited for the future and what is ahead of us for deer hunting. With the good number of young bucks we saw and the very mild winter we are experiencing this year, horn growth should be exceptional and there should be some good bucks on the mountain for the 2026 season and beyond!
